In order for a candidate to be elected to an office, in the present time, they must be a known Christian. However, this goes against the Constitution by allowing Church and State to be integrated, if only slightly. I believe that in order for this country to prosper and benefit from new ideas, holding an office should not be decided based on religion. During elections there should not be any reference towards religion, allowing the people to decide with an unbiased opinion on the candidates political views, without biases to the religion that they may believe.
