The American people are distraught over the daily epidemic of gun violence in our country. With the recent shooting and passing of Christina Grimmie while performing at her own concert, the issue has once again been thrust into the forefront of our respective lives. This petition is calling for congress to repeal the prohibition on funding into gun violence research, and treat it as it is, a public health issue, and to take comprehensive action to tackle the epidemic of it in the United States. It's time to set partisan politics aside, a focus on saving lives, the lives of our fellow Americans.
