At any point-of-sale that sells cigarettes, smoking cessation products should also be carried. Additionally, these products should be made available in smaller quantities, including low-priced one-time-use products. Currently, these products are sold in large packs, and are very expensive. This prevents low-income individuals from accessing these products, which are widely used, and generally safe and effective. Also, making cessation products more widely available helps smokers with impulse control. If they have a choice between an inexpensive cessation product, and a pack of smokes at the point-of-sale, they would be far less likely to buy the cigarettes.
