Every day here in Chicago the senseless murder numbers are soaring. Children in every corner of our city are afraid to walk to school or play at the park because they are just simply too afraid of being the next victim of gun violence. Law abiding citizens and elderly residents have become prisoners in their own homes. A beautiful summer night sitting in your yard or even at your dinner table inside your home can end in a split second by a traveling bullet, discharged from the gun of an armed felon running reckless in our streets, terrorizing our neighborhoods and holding all of our lives hostage. Our Mayor has failed us, Our Governor has failed us, Our police department has failed us and as taxpayers we are tired and mad as hell!! Mr. President Help us before you leave The White House.
