Many non immigrants who are living in legally USA for more than 10 years but waiting for their green card due to the backlog. They are potential contributors to the country's economy as they pay their taxes, buy or bought homes,
It is more than a decade in thier life that they spend in USA but without any benefit. The path to the citizenship is too long and thier kids suffer to pay more tution fees as we do not have a green card or Citizenship though they live in this country for more than 10 years.
As we do not know when the backlog for the EB3 green card will be cleared and even after a long wait, we may need to wait for another 5 years to be eligible for the citizenship.
