We peacefully ask that the city of Providence be separate from the State of Rhode Island on the grounds that Roger Williams was a Christian who founded Providence to be a sanctuary city for those who believe in the Divine order and care of a Creator God. The city has a park that used to have the Ten Commandments as a monument; since taken down. Rhode Island was built around Providence, not the other way around. Providence is the only city in the Constitution along with the 50 states, so we believe, that has its every legal right to be a city-state; sort of like Washinton D.C which really is a district. No prayers in U.S. schools, along with other recent rulings are factored into our petition. Rhode Island owes 350 years of damages to Christians for using a Christian name for its U.S. city.
