Last Week Tonight with John Oliver's segment on this show episode on 10/5/14 was alarming and beyond frustrating. We have heard a little about it before, but the laws that allow for Civil Assets Forfeiture needs to be stopped! How can a civilian fight a system that is more than happy to take from us but we have to prove to the same system that our goods are not doing anything wrong, not us but the goods? How can we be safe to live our lives and own property when our police system can take it with only a comment that they think we have done something wrong, but don't have to prove it? How are our homes, the funds someone may carry with them to buy a car or start a life be safe from those who only have to take it and keep it? How can this be a system that protects and serves us in the US?
