Since the Cold War, the United States, its elected officials, and Government have enshrined "God" as part of government policy, placed the word "God" on our money, and added the phrase "Under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance.
These policies should be reversed given that up to 16% of Americans do not identify with any specific religion, and the United States has indeed "made laws endorsing a particular religion" - Christianity.
Many Americans identify as Atheist, Agnostic, or non-religious/spiritual, and for these Americans, being forced to recite the pledge is an assault on our freedom to choose our beliefs. This also occurs in our Armed Forces.
Please enforce, and clarify, the Constitutional Establishment Clause.
