The term "Assault Rifle" as used in the media and by spokesmen for various groups is misleading. We require the correct usage and definition of an "Assault Rifle" to be made mandatory. No more muddying the waters by calling a firearm that is only capable of being fired semi-automatically (one trigger pull, one round fired) an "Assault Rifle" when that designation is for a weapon capable of firing either Single shot (semi-automatic), 3 round burst (one trigger pull, 3 rounds fired) or fully automatic (the weapon fires until the trigger is released or the ammunition is expended). Designating a weapon an "Assault Rifle" due to its appearance is misleading and fraudulent.
