Clarify the enforcement of HR 347 and whether removal of protesters at political events is legal under this law

Created by C.W. on March 13, 2016

In 2016 there have been multiple incidents where individuals voicing views contrarian to a presidential candidate have been forcibly removed from public campaign events.

It had been a widely-held belief that nonviolent protest and public action had been a protected exercise of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, but recently HR 347 has been cited as a legal way to forcibly remove nonviolent individuals protesting candidates and crowds when the secret service is present.

This petition seeks to gain clarification from the President of the United States as to whether HR 347 indeed is legal justification for removal of nonviolent political protesters and if so, gain clarification as to his support of HR 347 and its utilization this election cycle.
