Clarify their intent with regards to states where marijuana has been made legal.

Created by E.C. on November 16, 2012

On November 6th, voters in the states of Washington and Colorado took the step of legalizing marijuana for recreational use in their states. However, marijuana remains illegal on a federal level. In the past, the Obama administration has requested that the DEA respect state laws regarding medical marijuana, and despite this, dispensaries operating well within the laws of their states have been raided and shut down by the DEA.

We are petitioning the Obama administration to now clarify their intent for enforcing federal law in Washington and Colorado. Will the administration continue to raid legally operating dispensaries, or does it intend to respect the right of those states to declare a product legal for sale within it's borders?
