Do any of you remember the bills SOPA, and PIPA? If they had passed, the Internet as we know it now would not exist. Now, there is a new threat to the Internet that urgently needs to be addressed.
Net Neutrality is what keeps the Internet open and free, but cable companies are hoping to nix Net Neutrality to "create fast-lanes for certain sources". While there would be fast-lanes, we would only be paying more for what we have now in terms of Internet speeds, with the cable companies slowing down all other Internet access.
Classifying Broadband Internet as a Title II Telecomunications Service would prevent Net Neutrality, and in turn the Internet as we know it, from being annihilated.
Here is a YouTube video to help explain these points: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtt2aSV8wdw
