Comcast has long been becoming a cable company monopoly for local markets throughout the United States. There is many different cable companies nationwide, but as far as local markets, Comcast is often the only choice for cable. Verizon Fios is not available in all areas forcing many consumers to have to deal with Comcast's 4 hour service windows, throttling of internet download speeds, and insanely high cable bills.
