Classify domestic rabbits as human companions and not as live stock.

I am asking to classify domestic rabbits as human companions or pets as many people say and not as farm or live stock animals. Most American citizens had domestic rabbits growing up and many share their homes with rabbits. There are rescue groups that fight everyday for animals rights, but the most import right that is being denied to the domestic rabbits is to be considered a family member and not a disposable creature.They deserve to be treated with kindness, love and respect and not to be skinned for fashion, not to be crammed into tiny cages and 90 days later be killed for meat, not to be tested on or fed to the other animals as the zoo. I am asking to change the fate of the domestic rabbits, show compassion and make a change!
