The classification of marijuana as a Class 1 substance by Richard Nixon was against the advice of the AMA in his hate against hippies who were using it during his administration. With numerous studies showing that marijuana is beneficial for the treatment of seizures, bipolar, anxiety, cancer, cataracts, and so forth, we need to reclassify marijuana as either a Class III or Class IV substance, since it does have medicinal uses, and isn't highly addictive.
