In 2011, legislation was proposed to classify Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations. This failed to pass. International banks such as HSBC reaped profits by laundering drug money for the drug cartels, got away with only minimal fines and were allowed to continue operation. The cartels have taken innocent American lives and continue to be a threat to Homeland security. Please help reclassify these organizations as terrorists.
