classify n-Propyl Bromide (nPB) as a hazardous air pollutant under Section 112 of the Clean Air Act.

We created this petition in response to the New York Times' investigative exposé on the hazardous effects of n-propyl bromide (nPB) in the workplace and OSHA's subsequent inadequate response to the dire consequences of exposure to nPB. The resulting debilitating ailments have overwhelmingly affected workers who have been exposed to nPB in solvent form, particularly those working with aerosol glues and foam cushions. Their injuries include but are not limited to neurological damage, cancer, muscular twitching, and the inability to walk, not to mention the psychological ramifications of such afflictions. We strongly urge the EPA to regulate nPB as a hazardous air pollutant and establish safety limits on workers’ exposure to nPB. These workers' (and their children's) lives depend on it.
