Classify the Nov. 2009 attack at Ft. Hood as a terrorist attack rather than “workplace violence”.

Created by L.O. on November 14, 2012

13 soldiers and one unborn child were killed and 32 were wounded, in the shooting attack by Maj. Nadal Halik Hasan. During the attack, Hasan yelled “Allahu Akbar” and seamlessly reloaded weapons with such precision it was clear he had practice doing so.

The FBI was monitoring Hasan’s communications. They were aware of Hasan’s contact with the high profile Al Qaeda recruiter named Anwar Al-Awlaki . In e-mails between the two, Hasan discussed the merits of jihad.

Hasan was known to have referenced suicide bombings and justification for killing comrades.

Because this act of violence is not officially classified as an act of terror, the victims and their families are not receiving the same medical benefits they would if it were classified as an act of terror. Let’s change that!
