It has been shown that countries with fewer guns and more restrictive gun laws have significantly fewer gun deaths, both accidental and intentional. For instance, Japan, which has a population similar to the US but also has very restrictive gun laws and limits on ownership, averages two gun deaths per year. The US averages over 30,000 gun deaths per year.
The NRA is an organization that advocates for more guns, no matter what kind they are or how much damage they do, and looser gun laws.
Because fewer guns and more restrictive gun laws result in fewer gun deaths, and because the NRA advocates for more guns and looser gun laws, they are in essence advocating for more deaths.
We call on the government to recognize this intention and classify the NRA as a terrorist organization.
