Classify VA Health Care Benefits as "creditable" coverage for Medicare purposes.

Created by J.S. on October 26, 2011

Currently for Medicare Part B, the VA Health Care System is not considered or viewed as "creditable" coverage for outpatient health care services including doctors' fees. This forces the veteran to go outside the VA system to purchase medical insurance from another health care provider.
