We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Clean Bill legislation

Created by D.F. on September 07, 2016

Unrelated amendments are often added to bills. These amendments are either Pork Projects or topics which are against the interests of those in favor of the bill. This is done to deter the passing of a bill or to diminish the honor of legislators in the eyes of their constituents. Neither has anything to do with the purpose of the bill. Often, good bills fail to pass, not because of the content of the bill, but because of the added amendments. In order to maintain the purpose of bills, and to focus legislators to work for the people, we ask the following rules be placed upon Congress.

Do not allow amendments to bills which are unrelated to the topic of the bill. Levy fines, loss of committee positions and impeachment upon those who would attempt to add unrelated amendments to bills.
