1. That the Federal government ban all states abilities to jail non-custodial parents for any any arrears or missed child support payments.
2. Request that the government keep these cases out of our criminal and civil courts, and demand that the states find more economical ways to help non-custodial parents work off their arrears, instead of sitting in jail, accruing interest and more debt. Such as suspending monthly obligations and putting any payments toward arrears.
3. That the state governments not be allowed to charge interest on money that they are not spending and putting non-custodial parents further into debt with.
