clean up the justice system and give non-violent drug users treatment instead of years and years of mandatory prison

provide non-violent drug users or those seeking medicine they need, drug treatment or medical treatment instead of treating them like criminals. Alcoholism has been declared a disease then why is meth addiction a crime that will cost you years and years of your life. Let the juries be told about Jury nullification so some of these people with special circumstances can get some sympathy and freedom from incarceration. Even 10 years taken away from someone's life is a lot of time especially when they are already over 50 years old. The war on drugs has become America's war on it's own people and way too many are having to leave their families and spend years and years in prison. Murderers spend less time than a drug user. Isn't it ironic that Hitler's drug is still taking people's lives!
