Please make this our #1 priority- this is a world issue to have clean beaches [economy] healthy food source [hunger] and a thriving environment. Already floating is 5 gyres of garbage, 13 billion in destruction to ocean habitats- this is a ticking time bomb far worse than anything we a currently facing. news.nationalgeographic.com 5.25 trillion and counting, plastic debris in the ocean- Of that mass, 269,000 tons float on the surface; Appox. 4 billion plastic microfibers per square kilometer litter the deep sea- No matter how rich or poor, we are ALL effected in this man made horrific disaster brought on by selfishness and greed. It`s time to do the right thing- create better laws for pollution, create jobs for clean up, possible energy creation from the garbage.
