A VetiCare card would use the Medicare system as its guidelines, allowing access to all medical and hospital care. First-class orthopedic and specialized care would still be at the VA, but this would help to ease the back-up for medical care. This would provide options and choice for the Vet who needs timely care. Hospitals, physicians and medical facilities would be reimbursed following Medicare guidelines.
