Request a removal of a failing USMLE grade from your transcript.
A failed test will take you out of the competition even if you have great scores thereafter. It is unfair to post failed scores in our transcripts as at the time of the match, that will be the first criteria to take you down. This is my 3rd year that I didn't match. I failed STEP 1 being sick and unprepared at that time. Even if I took STEP 1&2, that failed exam in my transcript it is hurting me getting a residency program. I have clinical experience and publications, but none of that matters.
Without a residency program I am forced to work in unrelated fields.
