Food products now have clear labeling when the food contained may have been exposed to an allergen, or contains an allergen. This is tremendously helpful to sufferers of food allergies.
However, the cosmetic industry does not disclose many of the ingredients used, nor do they state if products are likely to have experienced contamination during the manufacturing process. This is obviously a major risk, when you're talking about a potentially life threatening allergy.
The cosmetic industry can fix all of this simply by clearly labeling all beauty products, much the way the food industry has done.
