Close Affordable Care Act Loopholes

Created by M.L. on February 07, 2014

While the Affordable Care Act has proven to be an asset to the healthcare reform needed by this country for a long time. However, due to loopholes afforded by the law, health insurance companies are doing whatever they can to keep important services out of reach.

For example, while preventative care is required to be covered, sick visits are not. If someone has to go to the DR at the last minute to diagnose an illness, not only is the copay expected, but additional fees are collected as a result of insurance plans.

Additionally, prescription drug coverage through corporate plans is non existent, which tells me that insurance companies are not providing adequate care via company group plans, nearly forcing citizens to buy insurance themselves. I cannot afford my necessary medications.
