At Puppy Mills dogs are brutally treated in cages. There are maltreated due to people wanted to make a profit. Puppy Mills are leading to overpopulation and abused animals. Often dogs from puppy mills get diseases, are abused, and profit is more important than being humane.
These problems are common in puppy mill dogs:
Epilepsy
Heart disease
Kidney disease
Musculoskeletal disorders (hip dysplasia, luxating patellas, etc.)
Endocrine disorders (diabetes, hyperthyroidism)
Blood disorders (anemia, Von Willebrand disease)
Deafness
Eye problems (cataracts, glaucoma, progressive retinal atrophy, etc.)
Giardia
Parvovirus
Distemper
Upper respiratory infections
Kennel cough
Pneumonia
Mange
Fleas
Ticks
Intestinal parasites
Heartworm
