Obama has repeatedly said that he wishes to close down Guantanamo bay, but it has not happened yet. It seems like very few, if any, steps are being taken towards fulfilling this promise that has been made to the American people so many times.
While we understand that it is a difficult endeavor, it would be nice to know what progress has been made towards shutting down the detention camp. Plans like the defense authorization bill are moving in the right direction, but what other strategies are being implemented and how is the Obama administration is moving forward in the effort?
