Guantanamo Bay is an extrajudicial prison that exists outside of the US, where supposed terrorists deemed "too dangerous" are held. The prison is used for indefinite detention without trial, which violate human rights laws and our own 6th amendment, which promises the right to fair and speedy public trial. The Obama administration no longer sees the viability of shutting the camp down by executive order. During the Bush administration, many civilians were sent to Guantanamo Bay to be tortured and interrogated. Methods included waterboarding, sleep deprivation, hypothermia, anal rape, and mock burials and executions. The Senate report on torture admitted that at least 20% of those tortured were civilians. The camp was set up unconstitutionally, so it can be closed down the same way.
