We The People of the United States of America should have the same holidays off as the people who work for us in the government. Every Federal holiday should mean every business or entity in the country should have to be closed and the employees receive holiday pay for those days, salaried employees included. Technically We The People are the employers of everyone that works for the government, why should government workers get those days off and not the employers? Holidays are a time for families to get together and people having to work on federal holidays are not afforded that.
