Close Guatanamo Bay detention camp permanently.

Created by T.A. on October 21, 2011

The U.S.' Guantanamo Bay detention center has been in operation since 2002. Under former President George W. Bush and present President Barack Obama the center has primarily functioned to hold persons of interest in the Iraq/Afghanistan War as "enemy combatants." The center has throughout the years gained negative publicity amid recorded evidence (both photo & video) depicting the mental annihilation and physical abuses of prisoners by prison guards. Their have also been reports of prisoners being prohibited to the right of due process. As of now, many prisoners face imprisonment indefinitely should they not be allowed to challenge accusations of engaging in terrorist activity. Until Guantanamo Bay is closed, America's moral compass will remain questionable.
