We demand that the "gun show loophole" be closed! Only ~60% of all firearms sold in the US are through licensed gun dealers, in which federal law requires criminal background checks. So long as anyone can go to a gun show, and purchase an assortment of dangerous and lethal firearms, and not have to go through a criminal background check, this makes an entire mockery of consistent and enforceably sensible regulation. From Columbine killer Eric Harris (age 17 at the time) "If we can save up about $200 real quick...we can go to the next gun show and find a private dealer and buy ourselves some bad-ass AB-10 machine pistols."
