Beginning in May of this year the Enbridge Corporation will begin the dredging project for
the clean up of the Kalamazoo River and its continued effort to clean up hundreds of
thousands of gallons of tar sand remaining in the river. This spring will bring a toxic clean up
station a mere 100 ft away from our local baseball field for summer adult and little league,
and just 350 ft away from several homes.
Despite entering their fourth year of clean up, resulting in numerous violations, this company
has been held only mildly accountable. Although this is a toxic clean up of the largest inland
oil spill in U.S. history (as stated by the EPA), and even though it has been called "The first
