We, the undersigned ask the President to do his part in closing tax loopholes that allow private parties and corporations to pay zero dollars in taxes on billions of dollars in profits. Companies such as Exxon, Apple, and GE pay nothing while small businesses suffocate under a disproportionate burden thereby suffocating domestic innovation and encouraging the displacement of the American economy.
A recent letter to the President from the American Sustainable Business Council asks the same and polling that 91% of business owners think it is a problem when multinational corporations used accounting loopholes to shift their U.S. profits to offshore subsidiaries to avoid paying taxes.
