Our schools are open on election day. Making it difficult to see who belongs there and who doesn't. It also makes the children sitting ducks for possible predators. With so many outsiders,voters, polling people, cars, parking etc.. It is very difficult to tell who belongs on property and who doesn't.
Some areas do not have school already on school days.. but our does.
For years their security was a chalk board in the hallway saying to do not go pass this sign.
This is VERY inadequate.
I have written our school principal, administration, state dept. of education..
Please make it Law that when people are Voting.. Children are not in school.
It still can be used for in-service days for teachers or teacher parent conferences..
