The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center under the aegis of the US Department o Agriculture must be closed down. I do not understand why it is the business of our government to fund, with taxpayer dollars, the use of surgery and breeding techniques to re-engineer the farm animal to fit the needs of the 21st century meat industry. In other words, to increase the profits of factory farmers.
Animals are not products and should not be tortured. Joseph Mengele would have approved what our government is doing to farm animals. Please do not take my word. Do research and then sign this petition.
