Mr. President,
Your citizen participation project, "We the People," despite its good intentions, is a nuisance and a failure.
According to a cursory scan of the news, these are some petitions with enough signatures to get a response from your administration.
• Grant secession (multiple states.)
• Build a Death Star.
• Deport Piers Morgan of CNN.
Mr. President, these petitions are not worth the dignity of your response. The longer this project remains active, the more insane petitions there will be gathering enough signatures--and some shred of legitimacy for their ideas. I urge you to remove this nuisance that makes a joke of our national conversation and distorts expectations of what is reasonable to consider within it.
