The "We the People" petition site at petitions.whitehouse.gov is a waste of time for those who use it. People with a cause to promote would be better served using a non-governmental petition site that allows them to collect contact information to help them create organizations of supporters of their cause. Most of the petitions here are rather stupid. The site's user interface is poorly designed The responses are mostly bad and insulting jokes. We ask that this site be closed.
