Clothing symbolizing hate towards the LGBT community needs to be officially banned from public schools.

In April 2012 a student at Wolcott High School in CT was asked to remove a t-shirt he was wearing of a rainbow with a slash through it on the front, and a stick figure of a man and women holding hands on the back. He wore this shirt on a day the school had dedicated to recognizing the awareness of bullying and harassment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people. February 2013 the school district has said the high school student will now be allowed to wear the t-shirt with an anti-gay message, after the ACLU was preparing to sue the school district for violating his 1st Amendment rights. Anti-gay message symbols need too be seen as hate messages and banned from children wearing to public schools, just as the wearing of many hate symbols towards other groups of people already are.
