An unnecessary period of hostility ended in the 1990's with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, so why are we still today engaging in a trade embargo with the peaceful nation of Cuba? We understand that there has previously been a history of human rights' violations, however, why are we still trading with the largest human rights' violators (China).
Mr. President, the Cold War ended years ago. Let the past be the past and let us extend a hand to the people of Cuba by removing this embargo and resuming foreign relations with them.
