Combat money's political influence through geographic, citizenship, and dollar limits on campaign donations.

Created by T.D. on June 04, 2015

Money distorts American politics in multiple ways. For example, out-of-state donations may boost a local politician's campaign, though such donors do not legitimately represent in-state residents. I propose the following limits on political campaign donations: (a) only individual American citizens may make political donations, and not corporations, unions, nonprofits, PACs, or any other group; (b) only individuals eligible to vote in a given election may donate to a candidate in that election; and (c) no more than $10 (ten dollars) can be donated to each candidate by each individual. This will raise the value of each person's effect on the political process.
