combine, each November, Veterans' Day and Election Day into one federal holiday known as "Veterans' Democracy Day."

Created by J.P. on November 13, 2012

Each observance already partially shortens business in early November while not getting our country's full attention.
Combining the days would:
Demand the full attention of each citizen to both participate and remember,
Allow more voters access to time to cast their votes,
Remove Veteran's Day, potentially, from weekend dates,
Tie veterans' efforts to the freedom to vote,
Teach our younger generation the importance in participating in political discussion and history.
Set the example for other countries to see how much we dedicate to the voting process.

A suggestion for the day would be the Friday or Monday of the third weekend before Thanksgiving.
