There are several redundant petitions on petitions.whitehouse.gov. The website software is perfectly capable of tracking them. If 40,000 people sign one petition and 60,000 sign the other one, you have 100,000 people basically saying the same thing...they just signed different versions of it.
This is historical material “frozen in time”. The website is no longer updated and links to external websites and some internal pages may not work.
