Combine the welfare system with our military.

Created by G.M. on February 21, 2013

One in 25 members of our armed forces are foot soldiers. The rest provide for the many jobs that are necessary to keep our military running. There are doctors, mechanics, truck drivers, janitors, clerks, etc. Roughly 15% of americans are on food stamps. These people are never going to get off the welfare chain easily, and will continue to just drain national funding.
If we end the food stamp policy, and instead point these people to military service, then:
1 These people will give back to the american people who provide for them
2 They will develop strong health bodies to sustain long life.
3 They will have good jobs with some of the best benefits
4 The federal government will save money as the military lifestyle is more efficient.
5 We will take a step to ending poverty.
