Come up with alternatives to allow misdemeanor drug possesion charges to not affect a persons ability to get employment.

Created by L.A. on October 08, 2012

Unemployment is a major issue in America. With backround checks becoming more stringent, we are disqualifying people from working over misdemeanor crimes that have nothing to do with a persons ability to work successfuly. How can we say we are the land of opportunity if we don't allow people who were arrested for drugs move forward?
Should a misdemeanor posession charge over-shadow two college degrees and years of work experience? This is happening on a large scale.
We must be a society that lifts up people who want to move in the right direction. If people have made past mistakes, this should not disqualify them from taking care of their family.
Misdemeanor possesion is a crime that does not have to perpetuate unemployment.
