Commemorate the birthday of Fred "Mister" Rogers for his service to children and adults throughout his life.

I only wish to honor Mister Roger's birthday, for all that he had done for us in his life. He was the model for all of humanity, as kind and loving in real life as he was when he appeared in front of the camera. He taught us it was OK to be different whether that meant the color of you skin or a disability, and that it was OK to be scared, whether it was the cold war or September 11th. He taught us about life and death, speaking frankly, but kindly on the matters, and respected us even though we were only children. When Richard Nixon wished to cut PBS's budget in half Mister Rogers respectfully stood before congress, and with a calm, loving voice and in less than twenty minutes he convinced them to give PBS its funding. He was as man should be and we need to remember him for this and more.
