Piers Morgan should be commended for speaking out in support of sensible gun controls in America. He is the voice of parents, children and siblings across the nation sickened that their relatives and friends have been killed senselessly. When the gun homicide rate for the US is 12 times that of any other developed country, we have a problem that our politicians need to address. Yes, other countries have mass murderers who have struck devastatingly but the frequency is miniscule in comparison to our country – see CNN’s GPS program by Fareed Zakaria. This isn’t a 2nd Amendment issue – it’s a common sense issue. Why is it that outsiders have to point out the obvious to us? Piers has helped by challenging individuals, and organizations with innocuous names that belie their true agenda.
