Comment on Larry Johnson's proposition to create a segregated NBA league with only black players, coaches, and owners.

Created by E.N. on April 29, 2014

President Obama took time to hold a press conference in order to comment on the alleged racist comments made by Donald Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. In response to the comments made by Sterling, Larry Johnson, an executive in the front office of the New York Knicks tweeted "Black people your Focusing on the wrong thing. We should be focusing on having our own, Own team own League! To For Self!!" but has not been met with any criticism or action by the NBA. Why is this public comment to seemingly reinstate segregation okay, but Sterling's comments illegally obtained in the privacy of his own home warranted an Executive response and caused him to be banned from the league for life?
